Could be fun. If you are planning on heading over that way, drop a comment here, and tell others when you'll be going. Turn the time into a photo session with others. You'll have more fun shooting in a group or just being on the lookout for another Guild member.
Common courtesy is to ask before blasting a flash in someone's face. Consult your copyright lawyer for whether this event is in public or private requiring a release for publication or not.
